ASKPC blames State, Center Govts for ignoring KPs

Jammu, May 29: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference alleged that Kashmiri Pandit community has always been ignored by the State and Central Government.
Addressing a general meeting, President of ASKPC Advocate Ravinder Raina said that governments have failed to rehabilitate the displaced KP community or resettle them in the valley whereof they are real inhabitants for more than last five thousand years. He said the community became happy when heard Prime Minister is visiting Jammu and Kashmir state to solve the problems of the people of state. But, in his speech he spoke nothing about displaced community. Raina expressed the hope that the Prime Minister will think about the rehabilitation of the community at one place under Indian constitution. Speaking in the meeting Dr. T K Bhat, General Secretary of the organisation said that the KP community is world famous intellectuals, educated community i.e why they are called pandits. He also appealed the governments for proper rehabilitation of KP community at one place only. R K Wangnoo ,Vice President appealed the central government to reserve at least 10% job quota for migrant boys and girls in the central govt/public undertakings. The meeting was attended by Handoo, Veena Gurtoo,Ravi Raina, S K Raina, Tej Pandit and Kusum Koul.
