APZAC Mahore to observe blackday today

Jammu, Aug 25 : On the one hand Panthers party along with other political parties is all set to celebrate jeshan-e- Jammu in connection with creation of new discrits and Tehsils in the state with chief Minister as chief guest of the occasion, and on the other all party zillah action committee Mahore is celebrating blackday tomorrow.
Chairman APZAC, Abdul Gani Bhat told News Agency of Kashmir that the people of Mahore and its adjoining areas including Gool would observe 26th August black day as politicians of the state are celebrating jeshan-e-Jammu to celebrate creations of new districts and tehsils in the state.
“We will continue our struggle until our death and the day is not far when Mahore would be called as Zillah Mahore”, says A.R Wani general secretary of the committee.
According to the People of the area Mahore, Gool Gulabgarh, which consists 1320 square Kilometer with the population of more than two lakh, has been neglected by respective governments and present government also.
Claming that area was surveyed during the time when Poonch was given district status and a commission was formed to look into the inclusion of Mohare as district.
The commission was named as ‘Noor Mohd Commission’ which is still under consideration in civil secretariat.
Spokesperson of All party Zillah action committee Mahore Mumtaz Kouser told News Agency of Kashmir that on the eve of jeshan-e-Jammu, people of the area have decided to observe black day on August 26th. She said that the committee would meet on August 26th at 10 am at its head quarter to decide future course of action.
The members of the Noor Mohd commission along with the then chief secretary had visited the areas of this far-flung area and an assurance was given that Mahore would be given district status, but all in vain.
According to Ghulam Mohiuddin Malik Vice president of the Zillah committee, every chief minister of the state had given assurances but nothing was done in this regard.
“Even former Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, who visited Mahore in 2003, had promised that the SDM of the area would be given the powers of District commissioner”, said another resident adding that every time the people were befooled.
“The topography of the area itself shows the discrimination with the people of the area” says Mohd Akram leader of all Sarpanches adding that people of the have been politically and geographically victimized by respective governments.
Mohd Ayub Ayan who is of the view that a fresh commission be framed and be entrusted with the survey of the all areas including Mahore and on the same report the creation of new districts be reconsidered.
