| Group impersonating as Police officers landed in custody | | |
R S Pura, Aug 25 : A group of three persons impersonating as police officers in border village Kotli Shah in RS Pura landed in police custody after they were arrested by police here today.
Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that a group of three persons were busy in looting the drivers and passengers who passes by through village Kulia and Kotli Shah Road in tehsil R S pura from the last one month.
Border Police, on specific information about the group and their modus operands went in a civil vehicle in the area and soon after they were interrupted by the group. Police arrested all the three persons and bring them to RS Pura.
Identified as Jaktar Singh S/O Prem Singh (king pin), Trilok Singh and Krishna Singh admitted during preliminary questioning that they have collected lakhs of rupees during last one month.
They, sources said under the garb of police uniform interrupted the vehicles during early hours or in mid-day and asked them to produce their documents.
The group has reportedly looted so many drivers and even some businessmen of the area. Police has registered a case against them. |
