| Army recruitment rally at Talwara | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 16 The efforts of Indian Army, towards youth empowerment with special emphasis on improving the educational facilities and creating infrastructure for providing employment opportunities to the youth have yielded significant results and contributed immensely towards normalizing situation in J&K. Continuing its sincere endeavour towards overall well being of the area, recruitment rally is being conducted at Talwara from 16-22 February 2008 for enrolment of eligible youth in Indian Army. Young aspirants from Udhampur, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts are participating in this Rally. As a prelude to the Rally, a massive awareness and familiarization campaign was undertaken under the aegis of Uniform Force during the last two to three months. The young men in the area of responsibility of Uniform Force were given Pre-recruitment training and guidance on the recruitment procedures in Army. Special efforts were also made for their proper documentation. The Rally was flagged off by Brigadier KSS Guleria, Deputy General Officer Commanding, Uniform Force, today at Talwara. The Deputy General Officer Commanding gave a brief account of host of projects launched by Indian Army for betterment and development of this Area. Approximately 20,000 youths will be taking part in this Rally. Mr Sanjeev Verma, IAS, DC Reasi and local leaders and other civil administration officials were present on the occasion.
