| Developments in Pakistan interrupting peace process: Azad | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 16 Reaffirming his faith in the path of reconciliation chosen by India and Pakistan, Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said the dialogue between the two countries would have made much progress by now if the recent developments in the neighbouring country had not impeded it. "Path of reconciliation is in the best interests of people of the two countries. But for the recent developments in the neighbouring country, much headway would have been made by now in bringing about complete amity and peace", Azad told a gathering of people while launching an e-learning course for women here. Holding the recent political developments in Pakistan responsible for the slow-down in the peace process, the Chief Minister said before these developments the relations between the two countries had improved significantly. If the process had moved forward as envisaged by the leaders on both sides, the situation by now would have been really different, he said. Azad, however, hoped that the situation in Pakistan would soon improve enabling the two countries to take the process of dialogue forward.
