| Clinical lab sealed at Banihal, equipment seized | | | Early Times Reporter

Immediately on specific information, a raid was conducted at a clinical lab namely Crescent Clinical Lab was found running illegally near the Emergency Hospital in Banihal.
As per report Dr S M Sayeed S/o Ghulam Qadir R/o Awanura Anantnag who is a general physician and Sonologist at Government Hospital Khaniyar Anantnag was running the clinical lab where ultrasound test was being conducted by him. He was assisted by one Ms Abida W/o Mohd Ayub Neither the doctor have any authorization or licenses for running the ultrasound clinic at Banihal nor his assistant Ms Abida have any qualification in this regard.
The raid was conducted by ACR Ramban Rajinder Singh Tara assisted by Tehsildar Banihal Jatinder Mishra and SHO Banihal Abid Rafquee. The premises of the clinic alongwith ultrasound machine and other equipment were seized by the team.
The general public of Ramban district is hereby appealed to give information of any such illegal to District Control Room Ramban on telephone No 266627 which is running round the clock.
The district administration was also keeping strict watch on the unscrupulous element who are sending the patients of government hospital for x-ray and ultrasonography and other test through private and unauthorized clinics. Such elements in convenience with operators of illegal clinics are giving a dent to the government exchequer for their own profits. All general public of Ramban advised to complain directly to the district administration when they are being referred outside the government hospital for any test when the facility for the same is available in the government hospital itself.
