Early Times Reporter Udhampur | Feb 16 The activists of District Congress Committee (DCC) have expressed gratitude and satisfaction over the steps take by the chief minister in providing immediate relief to the people of far flung areas affected due to heavy snowfall and rains. Addressing media persons, leaders led by its district president Brij Mohan Sharma along with secretary PCC Narinder Sharma said, it was due to good offices of the CM, that the instant relief was dispatched to affected areas like, Duddu, Latti, Basant Garh, Panchari etc places. They also thanked the CM for his personal efforts in getting sanction 1000 MW thermal power project for district Udhampur. Beside this they also urged upon the CM that the district administration be directed to prepare damage report of life, property and crops, so that relief can be provided to them at an earliest. Among others present during the press meet were Mohan Lal Gupta, Shashi Manhas, Dr. Jagdish Parashar, S. Parminder Singh, Vinay Kumar, Narinder Paul, Tarso Devi, Romesh Kumar and Ravi Kumar.
