National Conference (NC) president, Omar Abdullah has welcomed the comeback of former MLA, Nagrota, Ajat Shatru, in a function, held here today.
While speaking at a party workers’ meet Omar said it is very encouraging decision that has been taken by Ajatshatru by joining the party back, which he left six years earlier.
He further said after Ajatshatru left the party he (Omar) was feeling very sad but now as he (Ajat) had joined the party, he (Omar) was feeling satisfied now. Omar added that since the members were joining the party back, it was definite that the NC will come to power with absolute majority.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajatshatru said in order to correct my mistake committed six years back, I had opted to join the party back.
He added that now it is crystal clear that the NC is only party in the state which can work for the development of the state as well as the peoples of the state. He appealed the locals to join the party in large number and strengthen the hands of party during the upcoming assembly elections.
