The activists of Anti Pollution Movement (APM) blocked national high way for two hours, demanding immediate stopping of those industrial units spreading pollution in the district.
Protestors raised slogans against the state government and pollution control board. Leader of movement S. Mohinder Singh on the occasion, said that district administer as well the state government has failed to shift those industries responsible for pollution in the area. Power Minister Babu Singh who visited the spot assured the activists that power connection will be withdrawn from those units, who will paid to use anti pollution devises. Among others who addressed the protestors were Sain Dass, Harjeet Singh and Balwinder Singh.
