| NCSU register protest against Jaipur incident | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU |AUGUST 25 The activists of National Conference Students Union (NCSU) today stages a peaceful demonstration front of main gate of Jammu University (JU) to register their protest against the Jaipur incident and demanded stern action against the culprits, who hurt the religious sentiments of Sikh faith. NCSU activists led by its president JU’s unit Gurdeep Singh Pandey sat on the road in front the JU’s main gate and disrupted the vehicular movement to JU. They also tied back bands on both of their arms to register protest against the Jiapur incident, in which the hair youth were shared off by some miscreants over some dispute the activists, about 225 in number demanded stern action against the arrested culprits. Addressing the activists, Pandey said that such incidents are the black scars on the secular fabric of the nation. Keeping in mind the religious sentiments of Sikh faiths the culprits should be punished sternly so, that such incidents would not occur again. While, NCSU Prov. Gen. Secy., Vikrant Sharma demanded the strengthening of “ Right to Religion” which is guaranteed under constitution of India. He also appreciated the people of India for maintaining communal harmony despite of such provocative actions by some of the miscreants. He appealed to the Govt. of India for protection of the religious rights of minorities.
