| Taj reviews supply free ration to draught hit areas | | | Early Times Reporter

Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din today reviewed the supply of food grains to the areas being provided free ration for three months.
Government has decided to provide three months free ration to people of District Doda, Ramban, Kishtwar and parts of Udhampur district considering the damage of Kharief crop in these areas during last season.
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad to provide free ration to the peoples of these draught hit areas.
Minister directed the officers of CAPD to made the supplies to all areas at the earliest as people are already suffering there due to heavy snow fall. He asked officers to ensure proper distribution and check in any type of pilferage. Secretary CAPD Mr. Khalid Habib and Assistant Directors of CAPD of the affected districts were present on the occasion.
