| Shobha Model HS school celebrates annual day | | Education key to materialize dream of Khushal Kashmir: Mula Ram | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 19 Seeking the cooperation of people in attaining the hundred percent literacy rate in the state, Minister for Rural Development Mula Ram today said it was only through spread of education that the dream of Khushal Kashmir could be materialized. The Minister was addressing parents, staff and Children of Shobha Model Higher Secondary school at Lakshmipuram here today. Describing the massive expansion of educational sector over last five years as unprecedented in the history of state, Minister said opening of new Universities, colleges, and thousands of primary secondary and higher secondary schools have taken the education to the remotest corner of the state,. Referring to improving situation in the state, Minister said that black clouds of violence are fast disappearing as the massive development launched across the state has rekindled new hopes in the people of the state. He said the dark era has snatched homes and hearths of thousands of families including the Kashmiri Pandits who are living in exile for over eighteen years. He, however, hoped that all of them would return back to their places once the situation becomes completely normal. Lauding the talent of students who presented a colourful cultural item on the occasion, he said Children bears the beacon to lead the nation to excellence and play an important role in maintaining a progressive society. He also appreciated the school management for preparing the students in extra curricular activities which they demonstrated during the function and announce Rs 2000 award for the participating students Latter, the Minister distributed trophies among the students of the school who had exhibited distinguished performance during last academic session.
