Staff development programme begins

Two weeks programme on Staff Development sponsored by AICTE was today inaugurated by Minister for Higher Education Gulchain Singh Charak .
Speaking on the occasion, he asked teaching community to enhance their capabilities to compete with the changing modes of education on global level. He said that void created by revolutionary increase of standards of education and incompetent teachers multiply the problems of the students, adding that the present competitive age demands availability of highly qualified, experienced and late knowledgeable teachers to enable students to cope with changing trends in education.
The programme was attended by educational experts, teachers and resource persons. Chairman of the College and MLC S. Rangil Singh and Mahant Manjit Singh Ji was also presented on the occasion.
Resource persons invited to deliberate on the topic have come from Bangalore, Delhi, Srinagar and Hamirpur. Representatives of private degree colleges, faculty members and students are attending the programme for updating their knowledge.
