| Trade Union merges into PDTUF | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 18 Kashmir Province Centre-State labour union today merged with People's Democratic Trade Union Front (PDTUF) at a function held at the party head office in Jammu today. A delegation of this union led by president of Kashmir province labour cell (R&B) Mr. Ghulam Rasool Tantry earlier met Minister for Finance Mr. Tariq Hameed Qarra and sought the merger of union with trade cell of the party. Mr. Qarra welcomed the trade union leaders in the party fold and assured them of redressing their genuine grievances. Later, the delegation reached the party headquarters where they were welcomed by the office bearers of the trade cell of People's Democratic Party (PDP). The merger took place at the party headquarters in the presence of Zonal President of Handwara Mr. Mohammed Shafi. General Secretary of the newly merged union submitted a memorandum to the PDP Vice-President and MLC Mr. Ved Mahajan. Mr.Mahajan assured the delegation that he would take up their issue of SRO-59 with the state government and get it settled within shortest possible time. He affirmed that the merger of the union would further strengthen the party. Others who accompanied the delegation included Cycle President Mohammed Ramzan Ganai, General Secretary Abdul Hameed Lone and District President Kupwara Khazir Mohammed Chopan. Among others who received the delegation at the party head office included Member Parliament (MP) Mr. Trilok Singh Bajwa, General Secretary Mr. Daman Bhasin, State Press and Publicity Secretary Mrs.Renu Azad, Mr. Baldev Slathia, Mr.Sohit Sharma, Mr.Ramesh Koul and Mr.Darshan Magotra.
