| Coalition government has betrayed people, alleges Khajuria | | ‘Reach out to people, expose misdeeds of government’ | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 18 Alleging that the coalition government has betrayed the people of the state, especially of the Jammu region, the State BJP President Ashok Khajuria has appealed the Governor to exercise his powers and impose Governor’s rule in the state to ensure free and fair elections. Addressing the meeting of constituency prabharis, district presidents and morcha presidents, held to review the party’s political and organizational activities, the BJP chief has asked its party leaders to expose the misdeeds and anti- people decisions of the state government. He said the people of the state, especially Jammu region, are feeling betrayed by the coalition government and a wave of change is being witnessed as the people have made up their mind to throw the present government and bring BJP in power. Member National Executive and former state president, Dr Nirmal Singh in his address said the Congress is trapped in its pro-separatist agenda and is losing its Jammu based support. ‘The appeasement policy and ‘Sachchar’ Committee recommendations are the live examples of Congress party’s inclination towards a particular community for vote bank politics,’ he said, adding ‘it is not a healthy sign for the unity of the country’. He asked the party leaders to devote their maximum time for the next 4-6 months so that the state is freed of such political parties which are posing threat to the nationalist forces and promoting the cause of the separatists. Those who took part in the meeting included Chander Prakash Ganga, Suresh Jamwal, Ajay Jamwal, Bali Bhagat, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Yudhvir Sethi, Ved Prakash Mankotia, Koushal Kotwal, Mohammed Ilyas Khan, Mohan Singh, Inderjit Sharma, Narinder Singh, Usha Choudhry, Pawan Khajuria and N D Rajwal.
