| Aerial survey of snow bound areas, pleasure trip for VVIP’s: Rehman | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 18 The recent survey of various snow bound areas of the state conducted by chief minister, ministers and VIPs has been described as pleasure by the state president of Samajwadi Party, Sheikh Abdul Rehman. Addressing media persons here today, Rehman said till date no relief has been provided to these hapless people. The far off places are still cut of from the main stream and no attention is being paid towards them. He added there is acute shortage of food grains, kerosene, and have not been electrified. He urged upon the government to save lives of these persons and don’t play any politics with them. Referring to forest scandal, Rehman said, Kundal committee report has not fully investigated the matter, it is only a ice-berge. He said there has been large scale irregularities and bunglings in the department and as such needs thorough investigation. He also criticized the role of CBI in investigating the matter, as it (CBI) has lost its status. He said a commission be appointed to look into land grabbing scandal under Roshni Act. Coming down heavily on the administration, he said recruitment, transfers and back door appointment have become on lucrative industry and chief ministers slogans of removing corruption has become a big joke in the state. He said no action is being taken involved in sex scandal, land scandal, forest sandal etc. He said the main points before SP is to fight against corruption, un-employment, regional and sub regional disparities in the state.
