| Anticorruption Court frames charges against auditor Defence Account | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 18 Special Judge Anticorruption, Jammu, Mr. Kartar Singh framed corruption charges against Khem Singh, Sr. Auditor (LAO) C.D.A Satwari Jammu, who was caught red-handed by the CBI on March 9, 2007 while accepting bribe amount of 1700 from the complainant. According to the challan presented by Special PP Mr. SK Bhat the accused Khem Singh while working as Sr. Auditor in the office of local Audit Office (A) Jammu had demanded sum of Rs 1700 from one Surinder Sharma of Gandhi Nagar Jammu for already passed bills Rs 34312 as commission. The complainant filed a complaint with the CBI which laid a trap and caught red-handed the accused and recovered the tainted amount of Rs 1700 and after completion of the investigation presented challan in the court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu. Special Judge Anticorruption, while framing the charges said that the accused misused the official position and thereby obtained the undue pecuniary advantage of Rs 1700 for himself which amounts to commission of offences u/s 161 RPC and 5(2) r/w 5(1) (d) PC Act 2006 and directed for the trial of the commission of said offences.
