| Twenty-20 Cricket: Dhruv hits century in Simula’s big win | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 18 Dhruv Mahajan, playing for BCCI’s revel group of Indian Cricket League (ICL) hit a splendid knock of 101 runs off mere 48 deliveries to guide hosts Simula Sports Club (SSC) to an impressive 81 runs victory over ICICI Lambard in the 2nd Anandrathi Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament underway at University of Jammu grounds, here today. Former J&K Ranji skipper, Dhruv hit five sixes and ten boundaries to complete his century. Dhruv lost his wicket on the last ball of the SSC innings in an attempt to hit the ball over the fence. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, SSC set a challenging total of 195 runs for the loss of seven wickets. In reply, ICICI bowled out for 114 runs in 17.2 over to lose the match. Top scorer Dhruv was followed by Vikram on the score board with 20-ball 35 runs including a six and four boundaries. Neeraj contributed 16-ball 16 runs. Fro ICICI, Dharmpal Singh and K D Singh shared two wickets each. Harsh and Sumit shared a piece each. Batting second, ICICI could not face the calculated bowling attack from Dhruv Mahajan, Hilal Rather, Dhruv Mahajan and Rohit Mattoo and lost all their wickets for 114 runs. All the four bowlers shared two wickets each, while Vivek Thapa took one. For his superb innings, Dhruv Mahajan was adjudged man of the match and presented a LG DVD.
