| RCC to lock horns with KCCC in President Cup final | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 18 Reaching the final in style, Rehari Cricket Club (RCC) today set the stage for an interesting title clash against Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) in the President Cup Cricket Tournament being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here. In today’s second semi-final, RCC defeated Shastri Cricket Club (SCC) by nine wickets. The date for the final is yet to be decided by the organising committee of the tournament. Batting first after winning the toss, SCC lost all their wickets for 120 runs in 39.4 over of 40 over match, which, in reply, RCC chased in 22.4 over losing just one wicket. Ankush was top scorer from SCC with 28 runs including three boundaries while Sanjay Sharma contributed 26. Hardeep Singh, Dilbagh Singh, Anoop Magotra and Shafqat Baba took two wickets each. Among the successful bowlers, Hardeep remained most economical with two for 13 in eight over. Later, chasing a target of three run per over, Rehari surpassed the total making 124 runs in mere 22.4 over with nine wickets in hand. Ram Dayal was top scorer with 40 runs studded with two sixes and an equal number of boundaries. Abhishek Jamwal and Anoop Mangotra contributed 28 and 38 runs respectively. Varun was only successful bowler from RCC with one for 39 in 7.4 over.
