| NC reacts, says PDP distorting facts | | ‘PDP is loosing grounds’ | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb18 Asking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti to read the writing on wall, National Conference today said that the coming assembly elections in the state will be a waterloo for the PDP, which stands exposed before the general masses due to politics of deceit being played by it. In a press statement issued, here today, the National Conference spokesman said that PDP leadership was trying to distort history in an effort to hoodwink the general masses for their own vested interests and political gains. The spokesman said PDP leadership have no ideology because they have no well enshrined policies and being an out-crop of Congress they have always played politics to achieve one goal i.e. to remain in power. Reacting strongly to the utterances made by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, the other day, the NC spokesman said that the former has realized that her party has lost its image and credibility among the masses and in a state of frustration Ms Mufti is trying another way out. "The party is trying to shift the focus of the people only to hide its own deeds". The spokesman said that Mehbooba Mufti has seen the writing on the wall and having realized that the coming elections will be a waterloo for PDP is distorting history in an effort to hoodwink the people of the state. He said that Mehbooba has realized that her party is fast loosing its ground with the people of the state and the people have realized that PDP is a party without any agenda. "Politics of deceit played by the PDP on the people of the state is fully exposed", the spokesman said adding the party, created and nourished by New Delhi, has always played the card of their masters at New Delhi without bothering for the welfare of the people of the state. "The so called landmark pro-people political and developmental initiatives `pioneered by the PDP', as stated by Mehbooba is know an exposed revelation", the spokesman said adding, "The party built castles in air for its political gains and turned the state from bad to worse". "The frustration of PDP president is understood and obvious", the spokesman said while observing, "The PDP leadership has been continuously knocking the doors of New Delhi for giving them another chance to prove their loyalty" Those, he said, who have been purporting and facilitating the agenda of New Delhi in Kashmir now claim themselves to be the real Champion of Kashmiri people. "It is unfortunate that those people who are responsible for the mess in Jammu and Kashmir are now trying to distort history for their own interests. The spokesman added that the PDP president, while accusing the National Conference of changing its stand, has probably forgotten that NC is not a political party but a movement enshrined in the history of Kashmir and had been closely associated in the process of upholding honour and dignity of the people of Kashmir.
