| Only deserving to get tickets: Harsh | | Panthers’ prepares panel of prospective candidates | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 19 The Panthers Party has prepared a panel of two to four candidates for each of the 25 out of 37 Assembly constituencies in the Jammu region. Stating this, leader of the Panthers Party in the state Assembly, Harsh Dev Singh said that prospective candidates in the panel have been asked to prove their stake. “Only those who are proved to have the backing of people will be given the ticket,” he added. He said “Our plan is to contest all the 37 seats in the Jammu region but we will concentrate in 25 constituencies.” He said that a large number of Panthers’ supporters from the Kashmir valley have been “visiting our party headquarters in Jammu demanding Panthers Party ticket.” At least the Panthers Party will field its candidates from five to seven constituencies in the Kashmir valley. After developing union of hearts between Prof. Bhim Singh and Harsh Dev Singh the two leaders have pledged to work together for cashing on what Harsh Dev says a feeling of peoples’ anger against the Congress, the PDP and the National Conference. He said that if the elections were free and fair the Panthers Party would manage to win at least 15 seats, which includes two from the Kashmir valley.” Our aim is to win at least 25 seats. Though we have the support of voters in various constituencies but resources are limited when other parties, including those in the ruling coalition have means to spend tones of money for winning peoples’ support,” he said. In reply to a question Harsh Dev Singh said that as far as pre-poll alliance or understanding was concerned “we have kept a number of options open.” He said this issue will be decided at the proper time.
