SJHSMC demand CBI probe in Harnam Singh murder case

JAMMU AUG-25-Alleging that the law enforcing agencies and protectors of constitution have absolutely failed to nab and punish the named culprit who master minded the murder of late Harnam Singh, the then Chief of Shiromani Akali Dal Jammu and Kashmir, through a well knit terrorist group, Shaheed Jathedar Harnam Singh Memorial Committee (SJHSMC) has urged the State Government and judiciary to order re-investigation of the case through CBI.
Senior leaders of Akali Dal(Mann) Shiromani Akali Dal(Badal),Shaheed Jathedar Harnam Singh Memorial Trust and Sikh Intellectuals in a joint press conference here today alleged that the murder case of late Harnam Singh was hanging in balance for the last 12 years. ‘Instead of taking legal action against the named culprit, police administration in a bid to save the main accused liquidated the hired killers one by one of course by proxy’ these leaders said adding that earlier three hired killers were declared ‘proclaimed offenders’ and awards for providing their clues and affecting subsequent arrests were announced. Of them, one Mohinder Pal Singh Khalsa detained in Tihar jail was ‘mysteriously’ got bailed out through some unknown source and later on liquidated in a ‘fictitious encounter at Dablehar in R S Pura, the leaders maintained and said that to meet the ends of justice, the matter needs to be got probed by the CBI
Bhai Gurdev Singh, J S Mangal, S K S Ulfat, Ram Singh, SHS Raina, Babu Sant Singh, Babu Daljit Singh ,Surinder Singh Jagjit Singh ,Swaran Singh Cheena, Khazan Singh, Surjit Singh and Bhopinder Singh were also present at the press conference.
