Security forces recovered a large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosive from a militant hideout in Kashmir valley on Tuesday, a Defence spokesperson said.
Acting on a tip off, troops of 8 Raj rifle carried out a search operation and busted a militant hideout in a forest area of Naugam sector of north Kashmir, the spokesperson said.
He said three AK 47 rifles, nine magazines and 273 rounds, two pistols, two radio sets, ten hand grenades, 20 detonators and two kgs of explosives were recovered from there.
The search operation was still on, the spokesman said.
