Bhartia Janta Party Janipur Mandal on Tuesday distributed blankets among poor and needy women of the area.In a function organized at Janipura today blankets among poor and needy women were distributed.
BJP State treasurer, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that besides carrying on political activities, the BJP cadres have also been doing social work in order to help the poor sections and ensure the advancement of the entire society.
He said the central as well as the state governments have launched a number of social welfare schemes but unfortunately the benefits do not reach the deserving people.
He, on this occasion, declared that the party activists would continue to organize such functions wherein the poor people are benefited.
Mandal President Rakesh Gupta said that the Janipur area houses maximum population of the members of the Scheduled Caste community and other weaker sections and hence needs more attention.
He on the occasion urged the Social welfare Department to organize special camps in entire Janipur area to provide on the spot assistance to the poor people so that they too can lead better life.
Mandal Vice-President Ramesh Khajuria, General Secretary Praduman Singh, Secretaries Kewal Gupta, Sushma Magotra and Neeraj Arora and mandal activists Seema Sharma, Rakesh Kumar and OM Parkash were prominent among those who were present in the function.
