JKNPP demands relief to tragic bus victims

Expressing its profound grief over the loss of precious lives in a tragic bus accident at Basholi yesterday, the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party in a condolence meeting chaired by its Chairman Prof Bhim Singh has called upon the government to immediately provide appropriate medical care to the injured and cash assistance to the victims’ families.
The meeting expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured in the tragic mishap.
In the meantime, a party delegation led by its General Secretary Darshan Lal Sharma, today visited GMC Hospital here to inquire about the welfare of those injured in the accident. He also demanded grant of Rs 5 lakh compensation to the families of the dead and Rs.2 lakh to the injured.
The condolence meeting, among others, was attended by Naveen Bakshi, P K Ganju, Bansi Lal Sharma, Anita Thakur, Daljit Singh, H C Jalmeria, Ghulam Ali Engineer, Jagdev Singh and Shanti Saroop.
