| Red Cross society holds meet | | | Early Times Reporter

To strengthen the working and activities of the district red cross during the natural and man made disasters a high level meeting chaired by the District Development Commission (DDC) Sarita Chouhan was held here today.
Speaking on the occasion DDC Chouhan asked the members of the Red Cross society to ensure quick relief position at the time of need. She also said efforts should be made to have district red cross Dhawan and directed the Add. Commissioner to identify a suitable piece of land for this purpose. She further said that 17 members committee as required by the constitution of Red Cross society he framed included some prominent citizens of district.
Among others who took part in the meeting were secretary Red Cross Anil Padha, Addl. Dy. commissioner L.R. Chadhal, Dr. Vikas Gupta, Arun Sharma, Dr. Gurdeep Singh and S.D. Singh.
Red Cross society Jammu today distributed clothes and floor bags among the poor people at village Jahan, Dyalachak near Samba. Society members present on the occasion said Red Cross in always ready to help poor people.
