| Hawala racket busted, three persons, including Government employee, arrested | | | JAMMU AUG-25- Police today achieved a major break through with the arrest of three persons including an employee of Social Forestry involved in a hawala racket.. SSP Rural in a hand out said that SOG Jammu with the help of Police Station Jajjar Kotli on a specific information conducted a raid and arrested all the three persons involved in Hawala case. Giving details the SSP said that money was being sent by Abdullah Inqualabi, Commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen of Pir Panchal Range Rajouri to Jaish Commander Sameer of Islamabad Anantnag. He said Inqualabi had arranged a courier namely Bashir Ahmed resident of Peerkanth Trath Rajouri who had to hand over the money to two Kashmiri couriers sent by Jaish Commander to Jammu The SSP said the Kashmiri operators involved in the hawala racket identified as Farooq Ahmed son of Abdul Rashid of Wadhpora Handwara and Ghulam Rasool of the same village, employee of Social Forestry Department, were dispatched by Jaish Commander to Jammu from where a meeting point was fixed in the jurisdiction of Police station Jajjar Kotli where Bashir had to deliver the money. The SSP further said that on specific information received from Jammu Police, a raid was conducted and all the three operators were arrested and a case FIR No98/06 under section 17/21 Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Ordinance 2004 was registered at Police station Jajjar Kotli.
