| JP World wins by 8-wkt in Twenty-20 Cricket | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 19 Sailing on superb performance from Irshad, the JP World XI today made it a big eight-wicket victory over Bajaj Allianz to further consolidate their position in the league round of the 2nd Anandrathi Corporate Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament being held at University of Jammu ground, here. Irshad remained unbeaten with 57 runs coming off mere 45 balls including nine boundaries. He was later adjudged man of the match. Earlier, batting first after wining the toss, Bajal Allianz bowled out for 86 runs in 18.2 over, which, in reply, JP World chased in 13 over for the loss of two wickets. Sandeep and Dhirender Singh were main scorers with 19 and 16 runs while highest 21 runs came through extras. From JP World, Pranab Mahajan clinched three wickets for 12 runs in 2.2 over. Rompy Sharma took two while Deepak, Irshad, Manik and Ajit Pal Singh shared a piece each. Later, sailing on superb performance from Irshad, JP World attained the goal making 88 runs for the loss of two wickets sparing seven over. Besides Irshad’s 57, Aditya Pratap Singh contributed unbeaten 13 runs. Anil bagged both the wickets from Bajaj Allianz. Irshad was later declared man of the match. Today’s match was officiated by Rajinder Singh and Pappu Dogra while Rajeev Pakhetra was scorer. The running commentary was presented by Ritu Pal Singh.
