JKSSM president tours far flung areas of Nagrota

JAMMU, June 22: Jammu and Kashmir Saaf Suthra Movement (JKSSM) state president Shoqat Choudhary visited the far flung areas of Nagrota. He met the common people of Chibba Dhumuni, Simbal-Laher, Khuee, Panjgrain, Pangali, Katal Batal. In the meeting various issue were discussed.
Shoqat Choudhary said that during the years 2016-17 and 2017-18, the Forest Department vacated some area which was encroached by some land mafia. Choudhary demanded that the area which was vacated should be fenced and the plantation of fruit trees should be made. He further demanded that Rakh Dhumani, Rakh Pangali and other forest Rakhs at Nagrota should be protected by fencing and more and more plantation should be made. Choudhary also demanded that the Rakhs are inhibited by wild life like hens, peacocks, deer, rabbits, monkeys, pigeons, turkeys and wild sparrows adding that it should be protected and water arrangement should be made in the Rakhs of Nagrota. He also demanded that special task force should be framed to check the encroachments and smuggling. Choudhary said that there is need to save the forests of Nagrota, so that the ecological balance may not get disturbed.
