A Pakistani terrorist, accused of detonating bombs at electric towers and government buildings in Jammu and Kashmir, was on Wednesday sentenced to eight years of imprisonment by a TADA and POTA court.
Additional Sessions Judge Sanjay Gupta pronounced the sentence on Sanaullah, a resident of Daluwali district of Pakistan, for his involvement in violence and explosions.
Sanaullah crossed over to India illegally with the help of another accused Kehar, hailing from Haripur who died during the trial period.
The Judge imposed eight years rigorous imprisonment under Public Safety Act, six years jail term for violence and explosions and causing damage to government property and five years imprisonment under the Foreigners Act.
The court, however, clarified that all sentences will run concurrently.
