| J&K Bank holds “Educational Initiative” programme | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 20 The BDPC (Business Development Promotion Cell) of J&K Bank, conducted another programme on educational initiative at village Budgal Kalan, block Sohal here today. It was 6th such programme primarily focusing the far flung areas/villages were people either had a title or no exposure of any financial institution was introducing with a wide services launched by Bank. The function was dedicated to the people of the area as it was an unprecedented event for them where a bank had come forward with information and opportunities affecting their economic and social aspects of life. The impact of the function was not localized as people from far off places joined hands and showed lots of interest for the banking services from the state, BMO (Block Medical Officer), agriculture officers, officials from Vet. Department, principal of government high school, shoal and others dignitaries were present to share the vital information about the socio economic measures initiated by the state/central governments. The executive managers from BDPC also apprised the people about bank’s role in shaping their living for economic development and prosperity. During the programme Bank also motivated the children especially from the economically weaker sections of the society for continuing education as per Sarva Shiskha Abhiyan and also guiding their parents for availing banks services for shaping their careers. These children were also given stationary items under children motivational programme of the bank. During the programme, 125 No frill account passbooks, 12 Kisan credit cards (KCCs) were distributed and the process of other credit schemes was also initiated.
