| SAI Director assures Kabaddi centre in Marh Block | | | Early Times Reporter

As proposed by the locals, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) is considering to set up a coaching centre under its Day Boarding Scheme (DBS) in the discipline of Kabaddi at village Pouni Chak in block Marh, near here.
“The proposed centre has been visited by SAI Regional Director (North), S S Roy during his visit to the state recently and has given assurance to the people interested in the centre for a positive decision,” Assistant Director STC Udhampur, Bhupinder Singh told SAN.
Tirthi, who also accompanied the Director to the village, said that there already exists a kabaddi coaching centre run by Physical Education Teachers (PETs) at Government Middle School, Pouni Chak.
“Around 50 boys are already getting coaching at Pouni Chack which impressed the Director, who in turn assured the prominent people from the village of a positive response,” said Bhupinder Singh.
If approved by the Directorate, the centre would start functioning from April. The centre will be a feeding point to the STC Udhampur in the discipline of Kabaddi, informed the Assistant Director STC Udhampur.
