| Broad day light robbery in Gandhi Nagar | | Crime on increase in posh colony | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 20 In a broad day light thieves struck into a residential house in posh colony Gandhi Nagar here and decamped with costly household goods worth lakhs of rupees. According to reports the house owner Raman Gupta s/o Deep Raj Gupta of 28-DC Gandhi Nagar, along with his family, had gone to canal road to attend the funeral procession of some of his relative. On his return back, he was stunt to see most of his house hold goods including jewelery missing from the house and informed the police accordingly. The reports said that a maid servant of Raman Gupta, who also puts up in the outer house, was also missing. It is suspected that the servant who was aware about the absence of the house owner might have stolen the goods with the help of some others. Some of the residents of the area said that it is not for the first case of its kind in this posh colony adding that in the past several such incidents have also taken place with police failing to check the growing crime in the area. Police, has, however, registered a case and started investigation. The investigation of the maid servant is not ruled out, the reports suggest.
