| Cement import to fortify Indo-Pak relations: Asgar | | | Early Times Reporter JAMMU | Feb 22
Import of cement would hasten fortification of the trade relationships between the India and Pakistan, thereby transmitting the gains for the economic upliftment of people of Jammu and Kashmir, said State Secretary of People's Democratic Party Mr. Syed Asgar Ali. Referring to the availability of Pakistan's top quality Elephant brand cement in the markets across the state, Mr. Asgar said that it depicts the sincerity of his party's leadership towards resolving the Kashmir issue. He said that change of dispensation in Pakistan would augment the strengthening the basement of the trade relations between the two countries. Speaking on the occasion of joining of workers of various parties in the People's Democratic Party at Kishtwar, Asgar said that his party leadership transformed the indisposed mindset towards the Kashmir issue across the subcontinent. "Our policies brought an unforeseen change in the understanding of the Kashmir problem among the Indian and the world leadership, an unparalleled visionary in Mr Mufti Mohammed Sayeed remained braved all odds and got the trade routes opened," said the leader of People's Democratic Party. Expressing gratitude towards the decision of the central government for declaring the 2000 megawatts Bursar Hydro-electric project as National Project, Asgar said that it would increase the employment avenues for the youth belonging to Marwah, Warwan and Dachhan areas of district Kishtwar. He maintained that this would provide avenues of skilled and un-skilled labour to people belonging to the far-flung and virtually disconnected areas of Kishtwar. He sought speeding up of the work on the road network village Patimhaal to Dachhan. Stating that government has given a go-ahead to the approach road to Pakal-dool hydroelectric project, Asgar stressed that the road would become a lifeline in the future. He urged the newly joined workers of the party to spread the party's message far and wide. Those who joined the party on the occasion included Mr. Mohammed Shafi, Mr. Nazir Ahmed, Mr. Ghulam Nabi, Mr. Mohammed Rajas, Mr. Mohammed Jamal, Mr. Ali Mohammed, Mr. Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, Mr. Amirullah Bhat, Mr. Ghulam Hassan and Mr. Mohammed Asharaf Bhat.
