| Infiltration bid foiled, 2 militants killed | | |

Army on Friday foiled an infiltration bid in Keran sector of Kupwara district near Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, killing two militants.
Troops of 12 Mahar unit of army noticed some suspicious movement near the LoC and chased the militants who opened fire triggering the gun-battle in which two militants were killed, a defence spokesman said.
This was the first infiltration in Kashmir valley this year, the spokesman said.
