| DRDA holds SGSY awareness programme | | |

DRDA organized an awareness programme on Swarnganga Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) at village Goran. The objective of the programme was to make aware rural people about SGSY programme.
Project Officer DRDA Anil John on the occasion explained SGSY scheme and self help group concept in detail and asked the people to take benefit of the scheme through Rural Dev. Deptt. He also asked the women folk to form maximum no. of SHGs in the rural area and earn income by establishing their own micro-enterprises.
The others who spoke on the occasion were Gurjeet Singh and Varinder Kumar Bawa, Asstt. Project Officer and T.N Khan, Branch Manager, JRB, Sumb. The programme was arranged by his Gramudyog HastKala Kendra Hiranagar, who have contributed towards poverty alleviation in the distt. in a big- way by providing assistance in establishing small units in Handicrafts, embroidery and other activities.
