| Clerical staff observes complete shut down | | |

Working in various government departments was paralysed here as two-days mass casual leave in protest by the clerical staff began today.
According to a press release, All Departmental Clerical Staff Association observed The clerical staff are protesting in favour of their demands for last many days. The staff has urged upon the government to remove the pay anomalies and to grant the pay scale of 4000-6000 to junior assistants.
While addressing the protestors, coordinator of the association, strongly condemned the anti-employees policies of the coalition government saying that it has always ignored the aspirations of the employees.
He further said that the clerical staff is the backbone of every department and remained on forefront in implementing the policies of the government. But the policies of the government has compelled the clerical staff to adopt the path of struggle.
He also appealed the clerical staff and Medical Employees Federation to participate in the protest rallies in large number.
