| Arms ammunition recovered from Niki Tawi | | | Early Times Reporter

Police on Saturday claimed to have recovered some arms and explosive from Niki Tawi area late last evening.
The ammunition, which includes one AK 57 rifle and 2 grenades, was recovered from Hassi –Makwal where it was hidden under the ground beneath a tree.
Police sources said that on a tip police and Army troops launched search operation in Niki Tawi area on the city outskirts and busted the hide out. The ammunition was to be used to carry on attack by militants in the city, official suspect.
They said that One AK rifle, 20 magazines, 120 rounds, two grenades were hidden in bag adding that the cache of arms and explosive was believed to be used for suicide (fidayeen) attack in the city and trigger violence.
However, no one has been arrested in this connection, they said. |
