| J&K bank holds “Rural Mass Awareness Camp” | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 23 Continuing its efforts in the socio-economic development of the village folk, in the state, organizes its seventh Rural Mass Awareness Camp at village Jandi Lara (Kattal) in tehsil Hiranagar, District Kathua today. The team from the BDPC (Business Development Promotion Cell) of the bank of Zonal Office, had been visiting the village and its nearby areas for the past few days of disseminate the message of this big initiative of the bank. At the occasion, MLA, Girdhair Lal, was the chief guest. MLA, lauded the efforts of the bank in recognizing the needs of the poepl residing in remote area and also crafting special programmes for their economic development to facilitate the ultimate motive of an egalitarian society. He appealed to the people to reciprocate the bank’s initiative by their full cooperation in availing the services of the bank for their welfare. The gathering was also addressed by the Executive Managers of BDPC alongwith other includes women specific schemes, micro credit, self help groups (SHGs), agriculture schemes, Kisan Credit Cards, schemes for the development of cottage industry, child development schemes, etc. On the occasion bank distributed tractor loans, 70 Kisan Credit cards, 2 SHGs were created and 102 No frill Accounts to the farmers/entrepreneurs of the village. Bank also showed lots of concern for the development of children especially those belong to the weaker section of the society. The children present in the occasion were given free stationary to encourage education in them. Alongwith the economic measures, social measures including health schemes, were stressed by the representatives of the concerned departments of the state. |
