| AVMJ criticizes anti general category policies of Govt | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 8: A meeting of Aarakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu was held at Brahmin Sabah Akhnoor under the chairmanship of Ram Pal Seth President of the Aarakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu. While addressing the gathering he criticized the anti general category policies of all the political parties of the country. He strongly condemned the action of central government for issuing of circular regarding reservation in promotions which is totally illegal and unconstitutional without following the laid down laws and procedures. He termed this action of the government as vote catching device of the particular casts of the society. It is a matter of great concern for the nation to think that the interference of political parties in judiciary is dangerous. He also appealed the government of India for immediate appointment of a commission for identifying the creamy layer among sc and st category people. The actually deserving people of these communities are not getting any benefit from the schemes made for them. Benefits of reservation have been confined to the certain families only. The poor from far flung areas are still at the same place where they were 70 years back. |
