Azad inspects Siraj Bagh

Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad inspected Siraj Bagh here this morning which is being developed as one among the largest tulip gardens in the world.
The Chief Minister asked the concerned authorities for leveling various sections of the tulip garden and improving it further. He emphasized that the improvement work be completed within a month's time before the garden is thrown open for visitors.
As many as 12 lakh tulip bulbs would be ready by the first week of April in the garden which is being developed over 100 kanals of land. The total area of Siraj Bagh is 600 kanals and it is planned to be developed as an all season garden.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Mehboob Iqbal, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone S. M. Sahai and Director Floriculture Kashmir Dr. Sarwar Naqash were also present on the occasion.
