| DGP flags off 2nd Jammu Marathon | | |

Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda today flagged off 2nd Jammu Marathon 2008 at a colourful ceremony in which thousands of people participated. People from all walks of life including a three and half year old child and a 78 year old man participated in the race. The Marathon was flagged off from Gulshan ground today at 8 a.m. in a very colourful and gorgeous ceremony
Speaking on the occasion Khoda said that the participation of youth and elderly was imperative in nation building and holding of such Marathons and related events boost their morale. He expressed joy at witnessing unique sports event where in people of all ages and tastes participated with enthusiasm and passion.
At the flag off ceremony all top ranking officers were present to mark the occasion. Later these officers also participated in the "Run for Fun" event of the Marathon.
