Early Time Report
Kathua, July 12: At a time when the state government has moved official machinery to ensure peaceful Amarnath yatra, the failure of the Kathua administration to update its website reflects the lethargy of the concerned officials.
There is no updated information available about the police officers on the website as at least three Station House Officers and one Sub-divisional Police Officer stands transferred from their current postings several months back.
It also raised a question mark on the tall claims of e-governance implementation in the state.
The government has directed departments several times to update official websites on a regular basis. It was intended to provide updated a
information to the public, serve them better and also propagate government's welfare works.
However, the websites of Kathua administration carry old and outdated information.
When one clicks the Police Contact Numbers of various officers on the website, you wil find the names of several police officers who were transferred from their places of postings several months ago.
It has been two months since SHO Lakhanpur Kulbir choudhary was transferred from Lakhanpur but, his name was not replaced by his successor Sushil sharma.
According to the official website, Sarabjeet Singh is the SHO Rajbagh police station but the fact of the matter is that he was transferred from there two months back.
Likewise, SDPO Border Hirangar is Raghubir singh who was transferred one months back but still shows on the website
Anil sharma, who was replaced by Amit Sangra as SHO Kathua, is still holding his position as per the official website.
The SHO Hiranagar Contact and named missing from the website and Inspector suresh gautam who is Suspended in Rasana case still shows as SHO Bani but fact is that Mohan lal dhingra is SHO Bani
It shows the insensitivity of the officers assigned the job of maintaining and updating the website.
These are important numbers and given the threat perception in the wake of Amarnath yatra, the website should have been updated and correct information of the police officers should have been made available.
Despite directives by the government, official have not been updating their official websites by getting heavy salary and sitting on Air conditioner, it is not part of the shame any things happen During the Holy Amarnath yatra 2018. Which is very sensitive and goes Under the high security but laziness of the department and official dint have time to update it ,As everyone is connected to the internet through samart phones if anyone searched for officer's of police for any enquiry or any complaints and then they meet with wrong information.
