| Banks asked to continue with concessions to industry | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 25 To consider the extension of concessions to trade and industry in the state, due to expire on March 31, a meeting of sub committee of state level bankers was held here today. The representatives of government and the member institutions strongly pleaded for the extension in the period of concessions by banks to the trade and industry for a further period of one year. They also requested that banks should give wide publicity to the relaxations available after the extension in the period of such relaxations is received from Reserve Bank of India. Committee unanimously decided to recommend to the Reserve Bank of India that the special concessions allowed to trade and in the J&K state in view of the prevailing conditions. |
