| DDC conducts late-night inspection of old town | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, July 15: Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad other day conducted late night visit of main market here and issued a string of directions for face-lifting of old town areas.
Accompanied by a team of officers including Tehsildar and Executive officer Municipal Committee, the DC visited old town market from main bus stand to court complex via city chowk up to Abdullah Bridge.
During the visit, the DDC asked EO Municipal Committee to start the work for construction of a passenger shed and toilet complex and blacktopping at the main bus stand.
He also inspected functioning of old water tank machinery as also asked revenue department to propose land near old Town for setting up of a Senior citizen Park.
He also visited Town Hall complex and discussed with concerned about proper accommodation for Urban Health centre.
Directions for lightening of town were issued for which a plan will soon be chalked out under face-lifting project of the town. He also directed for immediate repair of the open manholes.
Other issues for face-lifting of town were also discussed with concerned officers. |
