| 2 killed, 16 injured in mishaps | | |
JAMMU: Two persons, including a woman, were killed and sixteen others were injured in separate accidents in Jammu division during the last 24 hours, police said here.
A matador, on way from Jammu to Rajouri, turned turtle at Patyari near Chingus early on Saturday resulting in the death of a woman Pushpa Devi and injuries to three others, they said.
The injured were rushed to district hospital at Rajouri for treatment, the sources said.
One Sukhvinder Singh driving a motorcycle was killed and another accompanying him seriously injured when it was hit by a tractor at Pandori in Kathua district, the sources said adding the injured was later rushed to the hospital.
Twelve others were injured in separate mishaps and admitted in different hospital in the division, they said.
