| JU to host seminar on secular character of Urdu | | | Early Times Reporter

Centre for Professional studies in Urdu Jammu University in collaboration with National Council for promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) ministry of HRD.is going to organize a two day national seminar on the topic “Secular Character of Urdu Language” from March 1st. disclosed seminar director Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik to the media persons. The two day seminar will be inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education, Gulchain Singh Charak and Vice Chancellor Jammu University Amitabh Mattoo.He further disclosed that about 40 luminaries of Urdu from Kashmir to Kanyakumari have their consent to participate and present papers on an important theme.
Urdu is a sweet language which has always given a message of love, peace and mutual brotherhood and it had played an important role in the freedom struggle of India added Mailk.
He briefed that seminar papers would be presented on the secular character of Urdu language which would be later published in the book form so that the propaganda of vested interest that Urdu is the language of Muslims only could be countered. |
