| Congress attitude towards Muslims apathetic: Rehman | | | Early Times Reporter

While criticizing the statement of newly appointed PCC president, Saif-u-Din Soz where he claimed that Congress is a platform of 15 crore Muslims of India, State Samajwadi Party (SP) president and former member parliament Sheikh Abdul Rehman said the Congress never remained a sole platform of the Muslims and its attitude toward the Muslims in the past half century, remained indifferent and apathetic. It is because of this reason that no Muslim of India has ever been a member of this party.
He asked Soz to not befool the public at large with an eye over the forthcoming assembly elections.
He also said that the government employees in some cases are not paid their dues up to six months which compelled them to take the matter to the streets. In this connection he gave reference of SRTC employees, JAKFED, clerical staff and the SPO’s in particular, who are being paid out of security related expenditure to be borne out by centre, where is no dearth of funds. |
