| Kapoor new FC Home, Khandey gets Planning back | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 26 Partially clearing a long pending log, the state cabinet today made a reshuffle at the top echelons of administration even though many important positions were still left vacant. As widely expected, the cabinet could not take decision on appointment of Superintendents of Police in many districts where these positions are lying vacant for quite sometime. According to an official spokesman, S. S. Sahani, Financial Commissioner Agriculture Production has been transferred and posted at Financial Commissioner Coordination, Resident Commission, New Delhi. He has been replaced by Sonali Kumar, who was Principal Secretary ARI and Trainings. Meanwhile, S. S. Kapoor, Financial Commissioner Planning and Development has been transferred and posted as Financial Commissioner Home. This post had been lying vacant since October last year, after elevation of BR Kundal as Chief Secretary. Iqbal Khanday, Principal Secretary Bureau of Public Enterprises has been restored the post of Principal Secretary Planning and Development. He held this post till 2006 before being arrested in the Srinagar sex scandal. R. K. Jeerath, Principal Secretary Rural Development has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary Social Welfare. Lokesh Jha, Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Secretary ARI and Trainings. Jha, it may be mentioned here, has never been allowed to complete a two year tenure at any posting after his repatriation from the central deputation in 2003. N. K. Verma, Secretary Social Welfare has been transferred and posted as Secretary Culture. Pawan Kotwal, Secretary to Chief Minister has been transferred and posted as Secretary Industries and Commerce. He replaced Lokesh Jha. G. A. Peer, District Development Commissioner Anantnag has been transferred and posted as Secretary Education. He shall handover charge of post of Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag to Mr. J. P. Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag. |
