| Month long EDP commences, youth exhorted to undergo training | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 27 Month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) commenced here on Wednesday in which unemployed youth of the state were exhorted upon to undergo training period so that they could start their own business ventures. In his inaugural address, I.J.Khushu, Deputy Director (Administration) briefed the participants about the training programme and stressed the unemployed youth to undergo for training course so that they are able to start their own ventures. He stated that the technically qualified persons can easily set up their units and they can also provide employment to other unemployed youths in the field. On this occasion, District Co-ordinator, Punjab National Bank, A.K.Mota apprised the participants about the role of Banking in setting up their own ventures. The Estates Manager, Industrial Estate, Digiana, Jammu, .Anjana Tikoo who was also present on the occasion briefed the participants about the registration procedure and various centrally sponsored schemes like PMRY etc and its benefits to unemployed youth. Earlier, Programme Coordinator, Vinu Jee Koul, Inv. (Mech) presented welcome address. Month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme is organised by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, J&K, Jammu (formerly known as Small Industries Service Institute). 16 participants are attending the programme. |
